On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 3:57 p.m., officers responded to an aggravated assault complaint at 1833 South Third Street at Dollar Tree. Officers were advised that a Black male suspect, wearing a white t-shirt with black shorts, and a heavy-set female black suspect, wearing a white t-shirt with red and white pants, were stealing from the business. The suspects exited the business with the unpaid merchandise, and the victim followed them outside, recording their actions. The suspects got into a dark-colored Buick Enclave. The victim advised that while he was recording the suspects, the driver of the Enclave tried to run him over with the vehicle. The victim described the driver of the vehicle as a Black female, wearing a multicolored shirt.
