On Monday, September 1, 2025, at 4:25 a.m., officers responded to an attempted burglary at New Balance at 5502 Poplar Avenue. Officers arrived and observed damage to the door and the handle. The video at the business showed a black Dodge Ram 2500 bearing Mississippi tag BLCB3TY driven by an unknown male wearing a blue shirt, backing up near the door to the business. A passenger in the truck got out and appeared to tie something to the door handle in an attempt to gain entry. An unknown smaller red pickup truck driven by an unknown male was also on the scene. He attempted to use a crowbar to gain entry into the business. Both attempts were unsuccessful.

Suspect #1 was a male in a blue shirt, dark-colored pants, and a black ski mask.

Suspect #2 was a male in a black hoodie.

Suspect #3 was a male in dark clothing.
