On Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 1:24 a.m., officers responded to a Fatal Pedestrian hit-and-run crash at Jackson Avenue and Orchi Road.

Upon arriving on the scene, officers found that a hit-and-run driver had struck a male pedestrian and fled the scene. The pedestrian, Harold Moore, was transported to Regional One Health, where he succumbed to his injuries. The investigation revealed a silver Chrysler 300 with front passenger-side damage that fled the scene, dragging its rear bumper. The vehicle was last seen traveling westbound on Orchi Road, heading toward North Highland.
