Officers were advised that the victim got to the store at 11:39 a.m. When she left the Family Dollar, she was followed by a gray sour-door sedan occupied by a Black male driver and a Black female passenger. She went to 3003 Lamar Avenue at the Three Dollar Food Mart, where the male approached her. The male told the victim that she struck his friend’s vehicle and that she needed to give him cash for the repairs. The male was advised that the victim did not have an accident but that he could have $5.00 if he needed it. The male advised that it was not enough. When the victim left and returned to Family Dollar, the male followed her again. The female then got out of the vehicle and told the victim she needed to pay for the damages. The female grabbed the victim’s purse and tried to take it. When the victim threatened to call police, the female grabbed the victim’s phone and ran back to the four-door sedan and fled the scene.
