On March 29, 2025, at approximately 11:22 a.m., officers responded to a shooting at the Mini Mart at 692 Whitney Avenue. When officers arrived on the scene, they observed a male victim suffering from several gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Investigators were able to obtain interior and exterior video footage from Mini Mart. Video shows a dark gray Honda Accord pull onto the lot and back into a parking space near the front door of the Mini Mart. The victim exited the Mini Mart, and 2 two individuals exited the Honda Accord armed with rifles. One individual went from the driver’s door wearing all black, a face mask, and gloves. The second individual exits the front passenger door wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray pants, and white and black shoes. Both individuals fired several shots at the victim. As the suspects were leaving the scene in the Honda Accord, the vehicle stopped, and the front passenger approached the victim. The front passenger took an unknown object from the victim and returned to the car. The vehicle then left the scene traveling eastbound on Whiney Avenue.

The vehicle was recovered a short time later, abandoned in the area of Northcliffe and Epping Way. The recovered car was a 2020 gray Honda Accord with damage to the front passenger fender and door. The vehicle was reported stolen on March 24, 2025.
