On Saturday, December 20, 2025, at approximately 12:00 a.m., officers responded to a shots fired call in the 600 block of South Mendenhall Road. Officers were advised that the victim was inside her vehicle, traveling eastbound on Poplar Avenue near Colonial Road, when shots were fired at her. Before the shooting, the suspect was driving recklessly, and the victim blew her horn at the driver to prevent an accident. The driver responded by firing a shot at her.

Video in the area showed the suspect in a blue pickup truck with dark-tinted windows eastbound on Poplar Avenue.
