On February 20, 2026, at 8:44 a.m., officers responded to an aggravated assault at 4138 Kirby Parkway. Officers were advised that a male suspect, known by the victim, threatened the victim inside a business while armed with a handgun. When the victim exited the store, he was assaulted by the suspect and additional individuals.
During the course of the investigation, information was developed that the handgun used in the incident had been concealed in the 4100 block of Kirby Parkway. At approximately 12:50 p.m., the Multi-Agency Gang Unit deployed Gun Detection K9 Cash to search the area.
Officers recovered the firearm and determined it had been stolen during a vehicle burglary on January 14, 2026.
A 17-year-old male was charged with:
• Aggravated Robbery (2 counts)
• Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony
• Theft of Property Under $1,000
• Burglary to wit: Auto
• Tampering with Evidence
• Theft of Property to wit: Firearm
The male is a known repeat offender linked to multiple auto thefts and auto burglaries.
