On May 4, 2026, at 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a shooting at 2625 Carnes Ave. Upon arrival, officers located four adult male victims. One victim was listed in critical condition, two were listed in non-critical condition, and one was treated on the scene.

A short time later, officers were notified that four additional victims—two males and two females—arrived at area hospitals. All were listed in non-critical condition.

During the preliminary investigation, officers learned that two Black males were involved in a verbal altercation when one of the individuals pulled out a firearm, and shots were fired.

As of this morning, all victims have been treated and released from the hospital.
