Tony Caldwell has been identified as the individual responsible for two separate burglaries at East High School, which occurred on July 30, 2025, and September 15, 2025. In both incidents, Caldwell gained entry to the school through unlocked doors. Once inside, he stole various items, including tools, computers, medications, and school backpacks. Rather than taking the items with him immediately, Caldwell stashed them at a different location and returned later to retrieve them. Fortunately, the stolen items were recovered and returned to the school.
On September 19, 2025, Caldwell committed additional burglaries on the University of Memphis campus. He broke into several campus buildings and stole various items. After taking the items, Caldwell left the buildings in an unknown direction. At this time, the specific details regarding the stolen property from the U of M incidents have not been disclosed.
An arrest warrant was issued for Tony Caldwell in connection with the two burglaries at East High School.
The suspect, Tony Caldwell, is a Black male with long black dreads, 5’09”, 210 lbs. Caldwell is at large.
