On January 2, 2026, at approximately 1:40 p.m., officers responded to an aggravated assault at 1336 Poplar Avenue at the BP Gas Station. Officers were advised that the suspect got angry and threatened to get a gun because the store did not have his cigarettes. The suspect then retrieved a black handgun from a vehicle, approached the store, and pointed the gun at the victim. He was last seen getting into the passenger side of a gray Nissan with a black front bumper. The vehicle left the scene westbound on Poplar Avenue.

The suspect was a male wearing a black hat, a red hooded jacket, black jeans, and white-and-black shoes.
