On August 6, 2025, at 6:22 p.m., officers responded to an aggravated assault at Smoke & Vape at 1379 Lamar Avenue. Officers were advised that a male in a red beanie, a gray hooded jacket, and black jeans was captured on camera walking into the business. He got into a verbal disagreement with the cashier and pulled out a gun. The male pointed the gun at the cashier and then left the store. He was seen getting into the back passenger seat of a black 2007 Lexus 350 bearing TN 8IA188.
