On Saturday, September 19, 2025, at 2:56 a.m., Memphis Police officers responded to a shooting at 4138 Kirby Parkway at Exxon Gas Station.

Upon arrival, officers located a juvenile victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the left side of his abdomen. Memphis Fire Department Unit 33 transported the victim to Le Bonheur in critical condition. Video surveillance from the gas station showed two black males entering the business before the shooting and openly carrying an AR-style firearm. When the suspects exited the business, they approached the victim and engaged in a brief verbal exchange. The suspect with the rifle fired a single shot, striking the victim in the abdomen.

The suspects fled the scene, running northbound on Kirby Parkway.
