On March 20, 2026, at approximately 11:45 p.m., officers responded to a shooting at Rufus Thomas and Beale Alley. Officers arrived and located a female suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers were advised that two males were arguing, and then the shooting occurred.

The suspect responsible for the shooting was a Black male with dreads. He wore a wide headband, a black pullover, and black denim jeans. he was armed with a handgun.
