On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at approximately 9:00 p.m., officers responded to an attempted robbery at 4155 South Third Street at the Walgreens. Officers were advised that an unknown male suspect entered the store and approached the employee at the register. He began to mumble while tugging on his jacket. The suspect then stated, “give me everything, right now, you got 5 seconds, ” while pointing a black handgun at her. He counted down from 5 while threatening the employee. She told him the register was empty and showed him the empty cash box. He fled the scene empty-handed. He was last seen running northbound from the business, towards the Third Street Liquor Store.
