On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at approximately 1:40 a.m., officers responded to an attempted robbery at the Circle K at 979 Brooks Road. A male suspect holding a trash bag and hiding a black handgun walked up to the southside doors and attempted to gain entry. The doors were locked, and the suspect was told to go around to the front of the building. The suspect walked around to the front doors of the Circle K and again attempted to enter. When the suspect could not gain entry, he pointed a black handgun at the cashier through the glass and stated, “You know what this is, put it in the bag”. The employees ducked for cover, which angered the suspect, and he began to kick the front doors, attempting to force entry into the business. When that was unsuccessful, the suspect walked back around to the southside doors and began hitting the glass doors with the black handgun, while yelling “open the door, I’m gone shoot both of y’all”. The suspect shattered the glass door and fired off a shot, which shattered the other glass door. The suspect fired three more shots at the building while running away, never gaining entry into the business. The suspect was last seen running southbound towards Rosita Circle.
Suspect #1 was a Black male approximately 6’0”, thin/medium build, light mustache, approximately 30-40 years old. He wore red gloves, a black jacket, a white t-shirt, black pants, and white Nike shoes. The suspect was also wearing a black winter hat with yellow writing on the front, covering his hair.
Anyone with information about this incident should call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH (2274).
