On April 22, 2026, officers responded to a shooting in the 600 block of Pendleton Street. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female who had been grazed by a bullet. Two homes, which were occupied at the time, were also struck and damaged by gunfire.

During the course of the investigation, 33-year-old Deandre Herron was developed as a suspect and an arrest warrant was issued for Attempted Second-Degree Murder, Reckless Endangerment with a Deadly Weapon, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm (2X), Aggravated Assault, and Domestic Assault – Bodily Harm (2X).

On September 23, 2026, MPD’s Fugitive Unit apprehended Herron in the 300 block of Laclede Avenue.
