On August 1, 2025, at 7:08 p.m., officers responded to an auto theft at 5433 Poplar Avenue. Officers were advised that on July 23, 2025, at 4:46 a.m., two suspects entered the Cadillac of Memphis parking lot in a white Honda Accord bearing TN tag BSD2543. The tag does not belong to the vehicle. The suspects took a 2019 Honda Accord bearing TN tag 3TG015. The video showed suspect #1 crouched by the car, and suspect #2 appears to hand suspect #1 a key. The suspect vehicle and one of the suspects were captured on camera. The cars left the scene on Poplar Avenue.

Suspect #1 was wearing all black clothing with white graphic stripes on the arms of the hoodie.
