On August 4, 2025, at 8:50 a.m., officers responded to a burglary at Pope Street Grocery at 797 Pope Street. Officers were advised that an unknown male broke into the business through a side window. He took various items behind the counter, including two cash registers, currency, and cigars. Video inside the business shows that the burglary occurred on August 3 at approximately 7:55 p.m.

The suspect was a Black male wearing a black shirt over his face, no shirt, latex gloves, gray pants, and light-colored slides.
