Business Robbery: 1410 Poplar Avenue

On December 17, 2025, at 10:28 a.m., officers responded to a business robbery at the EZ Pawn located at 1410 Poplar Avenue. Officers were advised that a male entered the EZ Pawn and walked around the store as if he was seeing who was inside the store. The suspect then exited the business and immediately came back inside the business armed with a black revolver with a white handle. The male suspect fired several shots towards the employees and a customer who were standing at the checkout counter. The suspect yelled out loud that he was “nervous” and then took out a metal wrench and began breaking the glass of the display counter where the jewelry was located. After retrieving the jewelry, the suspect then demanded the money from the cash registers. The suspect took the money and jewelry and fled the scene on foot northbound on Garland Street from the business.

Suspect#1 is a Black male, thin build, medium to dark complexion, wearing gloves on both hands, glasses, a camouflage face mask covering the lower portion of his face, dark colored jacket with a gray hoodie underneath with red lettering on the front of it, gray jogging pants, and armed with a large wrench and a black revolver with a white handle.
