On Thursday, August 14, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m., officers responded to a carjacking at a grocery store in the 1600 block of Kansas Street. Officers were advised that the victim exited the store and started walking toward her vehicle when she heard someone running behind her. She turned around and saw a Black male pointing a black handgun at her face. She slipped and fell to the ground. The male was armed with a gun and demanded her car keys. He jumped in the passenger seat of her 2022 Honda HRV, and a second male jumped in the driver’s seat of her vehicle, and they drove away with it. The victim’s vehicle was located unoccupied a short time later at Humber and South Parkway. Both males were captured on camera walking in the 500 block of East Olive before the carjacking occurred.
Suspect # 1 was a thin, light-complexioned Black male with short hair. He was 5’5 “to 5’7” and 18 to 25 years old. He wore a purple hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and white shoes. He was armed with a black gun.
Suspect # 2 was a thin, dark-complexioned Black male with short hair. He was 5’5 “to 5’7” and 18 to 25 years old. He wore a cream-colored sweater, a white and black baseball cap, black jeans, black shoes, and rode a black bike.
