On February 12, 2026, members of the MPD Fugitive Unit served an active felony warrant in the 3700 block of Parkline Drive. They located 26-year-old Landrick Brooks, who was wanted for Aggravated Assault, Attempted Aggravated Robbery, and Theft of Property valued between $10,000 and $60,000. Brooks was taken into custody without incident.
During the arrest, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the home. Based on that observation, detectives secured a search warrant to further investigate. Det. Ramos and K9 Kilo conducted a sweep of the residence, and Kilo alerted to a backpack that was later found to contain marijuana.
The search led to the recovery of a large amount of currency, two digital scales, assorted ammunition, additional marijuana, a Draco-style firearm, magazines for the weapon, car keys, and 19 boxes of Promethazine. Brooks is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing a firearm.
As a result of the investigation, Brooks now faces additional charges of Convicted Felon in Possession of a Handgun, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Manufacture/Deliver/Sell, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony, and two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
