Critical Hit-and-Run Crash: Getwell Road and American Way

On Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 11:17 p.m., officers responded to a critical hit-and-run pedestrian crash at Getwell Road and American Way. Upon arrival, officers learned that the pedestrian had been crossing Getwell Road westbound when he was struck by a blue, early-2000s Ford F-150 traveling northbound. The truck continued northbound on Getwell Road and crossed Interstate 240 without stopping.

The pedestrian was transported to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

The suspect vehicle is believed to have damage to the lower left front. It also has gray or tan paint along the lower portion of the body and has chrome side steps.
