On Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 9:27 p.m., officers responded to a critical hit and run at Raleigh-Millington Road and Saint Elmo Avenue, where an unknown driver in a black 5-door 2010 Dodge Caravan bearing TN: Tag BBZ0997, collided with a maroon 2015 Toyota Avalon. The driver of the Dodge Caravan fled the scene on foot, leaving the vehicle behind. The driver of the Toyota Avalon was transported to Regional One Health in critical condition.
