On Sunday, May 11, 2025, at approximately 11:40 p.m., officers responded to a critical pedestrian crash on N. Highland Street near Faxon Avenue. Officers were advised that an unknown hit-and-run driver struck and critically injured a female pedestrian and fled the scene. The hit-and-run vehicle was an unknown silver colored vehicle, possibly a large SUV or pickup truck. The vehicle may have damage to the front and driver’s side, with the driver’s side mirror missing or damaged. The vehicle left the scene in an unknown direction.
