On September 14, 2025, at approximately 1:05 a.m., officers responded to a pedestrian struck at Old Getwell Road and Lamar Avenue. When officers arrived, they located a female pedestrian who had been hit by a vehicle; the vehicle had fled the scene before officers’ arrival. The female did not survive her injuries and was pronounced deceased. Investigators determined that a dark-colored SUV was traveling northbound on Old Getwell Road when it struck the pedestrian. The SUV sustained damage to the right passenger side and fled northbound on Old Getwell Road.
