On Sunday, March 16, 2025, at 2:00 a.m., officers responded to a fatal hit-and-run crash at Sycamore View and Shelby Oaks. An unknown driver struck and fatally injured a male pedestrian. The driver and vehicle fled the scene. The car was a dark-colored 2020-2021 Honda Civic. The car will have damage to the front hood and windshield. The vehicle was last seen northbound on Sycamore View near Shelby Oaks.
