On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 4:00 a.m., officers responded to a fatal pedestrian crash on Poplar Avenue near Cresthaven Road. Officers were advised that an unknown hit-and-run driver struck and fatally injured a male pedestrian and fled the scene. The hit-and-run vehicle will be a dark-colored Chevrolet Trax, driven by a white male. The vehicle may have damage to its front and undercarriage.
