Fugitive Unit Delivers Arrests in Violent Cases

The Memphis Police Department Fugitive Unit continues to deliver results through focused, daily work aimed at keeping Memphis neighborhoods safer.

On Tuesday, Fugitive Unit officers cleared seven felony warrants, removing multiple violent offenders from the streets.

Among those taken into custody were Curtis Johnson and Damien Johnson, who were wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred on July 28, 2025, in the 1200 block of Hunter. Both individuals were arrested on warrants for Attempted First Degree Murder and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.

Officers also located and arrested a 17-year-old male wanted in connection with a January 28, 2026, shooting in the 3500 block of Ashford Road. The suspect was wanted on warrants for Attempted Second Degree Murder (2x) and Employment of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony.
