On December 16, 2023, officers responded to a shooting in the 2400 block of Wellons Avenue. Officers were advised that several shots were fired from a vehicle into a home in a drive-by style shooting. A one-year-old boy inside the home was struck and killed. He would have turned 4 this May. His case remains unsolved.
