On September 23, 2025, at 12:40 p.m., officers responded to two shooting victims arriving at a hospital in the 3900 block of New Covington Pike. Two male juveniles and a third male arrived in the parking lot in a maroon Saturn Ion at 12:14 p.m. The two juveniles were suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the males was pronounced deceased. The second juvenile was treated by medical staff. Additional investigation has revealed that the shooting occurred in the area of Vanderwood Drive and Fortner Avenue. The unidentified male, a person of interest in this case, left on foot.

The unknown individual is a Black male with long black dreads with brown or gold streaks. He wore all black clothing and no shoes.
