On August 29, 2025, at 10:35 p.m., officers responded to a shooting at 4907 Airways Blvd at Airways Express. Officers located a victim who was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced deceased. The shooter was seen entering the store after the victim had arrived and leaving the store before the shooting. Officers were advised that the suspect fled on foot towards the Highland Meadows Apartments.

The suspect was a male dressed in a white T-shirt, a blue zip-up hoodie jacket, black pants, white socks, and black slides.
