On Sunday, March 5, 2023, at 6:15 p.m., officers responded to a shooting at the Rosewood Market at 1908 South Lauderdale. Officers located the victim, Xavier Tankersley, along with another male, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Xavier was pronounced deceased on the scene. The video showed two Black male suspects fleeing the scene in a black Nissan Altima.
