On Sunday, September 9, 2018, at 1:20 a.m., officers responded to a shooting at Exxon at 4675 South Third Street. Officers located the male victim, Prentice Pleas, in a nearby wooded area. Pleas was shot several times. He was pronounced deceased on the scene.
