Arrested: 3200 Block of Southbridge St.

On July 19, 2026, officers responded to a Custodial Interference incident in the 3200 block of Southbridge Street regarding a father leaving the residence without permission with his juvenile son.

On July 20, 2026, at approximately 7:57 a.m., officers responded to a follow-up call in the 3200 block of Southbridge Street after the father returned home without his juvenile child. The male was detained as officers conducted the investigation.

During the investigation, officers developed information regarding the possible location of the juvenile in the 100 block of North Front Street. Officers responded to that location and located the juvenile deceased.

Saul Martinez, 22, was arrested and charged with:

  • First-Degree Murder
  • First-Degree Murder in Perpetration of a Felony (to wit: Aggravated Child Abuse)
  • Aggravated Child Abuse
  • Abuse of a Corpse
  • Tampering with Evidence
