On September 25, 2025, at 1:45 p.m., officers responded to an identity theft at Truist Bank at 999 South Shady Grove Road. Officers were advised that on September 11th, an unknown suspect came in with a fraudulent identification card that had the victim’s information printed on it. The suspect used that card and forged the victim’s signature to cash two checks from the victim’s accounts. The amount of the theft was over $13,000.
