On August 19, 2025, the Memphis Animal Shelter reported complaints of animal abuse related to Glamour Grooming and Boarding, located at 1127 East Raines Road. The Memphis Police Department opened an investigation.

Video and photographic evidence of the alleged abuse was shared with the Memphis Police Department. The individual believed responsible was identified as the business owner.

During the course of the investigation, several victims were interviewed. Evidence was collected that supported misdemeanor animal abuse charges. The incidents occurred more than one year ago, and the statute of limitations had expired. There was not sufficient evidence to support felony charges in this case.

The Memphis Police Department takes allegations of abuse seriously and remains committed to pursuing any new, credible information regarding this investigation. Animal abuse is against the law, and the Memphis Police Department takes these allegations seriously.
