On Sunday, August 10, 2025, at 12:30 a.m., officers responded to a motor vehicle theft in the 300 block of Illinois Avenue. Officers were advised that a female DoorDash driver wearing a multicolored hair cover, a black “Barbie” shirt, and blue shorts was seen on camera arriving in the area, and the subject walked up to the victim’s vehicle, which was parked under the awning, and removed keys from the exterior door lock. The subject then enters the business, makes her delivery then leaves. The subject then walks back to her vehicle and tests the key fob, causing the victim’s vehicle lights to flash. The female subject then hands the keys to another unidentified subject, who uses the keys to steal the victim’s vehicle. The victim was last seen driving a white four-door sedan.
