Officers were advised that between 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2025, the victim reported their red 2020 Hyundai Elantra stolen. The vehicle was later spotted in the area of Mendenhall Road and Knight Arnold Road, driven by a Black male subject. Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver refused to stop. The driver eventually exited the vehicle and fled on foot armed with a handgun. The vehicle was recovered and towed to the vehicle storage lot. This individual may be responsible for other crimes in the Memphis/Shelby County area.
