MPD Makes Four Arrests Related to Motor Vehicle Theft and Recovers Illegal Firearms

On September 22, 2026, at approximately 8:00 a.m., officers responded to an Auto Theft in the 3500 block of Westline Drive. Officers were advised that the victim’s black Dodge Charger had been stolen from the parking lot while he was inside his residence.

On September 29, 2026, at approximately 6:45 p.m., officers responded to an armed robbery in the 3600 block of Vivia Street. Officers were advised that the male victim was approached by two males armed with firearms who demanded his belongings. The suspects struck the victim with a firearm before fleeing the scene in a black Volkswagen, which was followed by a black Dodge Charger.

Later that day, officers located the black Dodge Charger believed to be involved in a robbery near Ridgeway Road and Pebble Beach. Officers attempted a traffic stop, but the driver failed to stop. The vehicle came to a stop after striking a curb on Ivy Road near Quince Road. Four suspects fled the vehicle on foot and were apprehended shortly thereafter.

Officers recovered three firearms, two of which were equipped with machine gun conversion devices, commonly referred to as “switches,” capable of converting the firearms to fully automatic operation.

A 16-year-old was arrested and charged with Prohibited Weapons to wit: Machine Gun Conversion Device, Theft of Property $2,500-$10,000, Evading Arrest to wit: Vehicle Pursuit, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Evading Arrest to wit: Foot Pursuit.

Lee Robinson, 20, was arrested and charged with Theft of Property $2,500-$10,000 and Evading Arrest to wit: Foot Pursuit.

Damein Jones, 20, was arrested and charged with Prohibited Weapons to wit: Machine Gun Conversion Device, Theft of Property $2,500-$10,000, Evading Arrest to wit: Foot Pursuit, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon to wit: Handgun.

Justin Hunter, 26, was arrested and charged with Theft of Property $2,500-$10,000 and Evading Arrest to wit: Foot Pursuit.
