MPD Seeks Two Suspects in First-Degree Murder Investigation

On July 21, 2026, officers responded to a shooting call in the area of Wilson St. and Gill Ave. Officers located a male who had been shot and struck by a vehicle. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene.

After further investigation, Joseph Harris and Ashundra Lee were identified as suspects.

Joseph Harris, 37, was issued a warrant for First-Degree Murder and Tampering with Evidence.

Ashundra Lee, 39, was issued a warrant for First-Degree Murder.

After the homicide, the suspects stole a vehicle and fled Memphis. They were last seen in Fayetteville, Arkansas stealing a White Honda SUV bearing Arkansas tags AHZ40V. The Honda has not been recovered.
