On Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 5:00 a.m., officers responded to a theft in the 600 block of Whitney Avenue.

Video surveillance captured an unidentified Black male approaching the residence’s exterior air conditioning condenser unit. The suspect is seen cutting the suction line to release the freon from the unit before stripping the copper wiring running from the air conditioner to the residence. The suspect removed the rubber tubing to access and steal the copper wire before leaving the scene.

The estimated damage and loss totaled $2,000.
