On September 9, 2025, at 7:02 p.m., officers responded to a shoplifting at 3481 Austin Peay Highway at City Gear. Officers were advised that at approximately 6:52 p.m., five unknown suspects, wearing face masks and hoodies, entered the business after exiting an older model silver sedan and a dark Kia SUV. The suspects made several trips inside the business, taking over $ 4,000 worth of merchandise before fleeing the scene.
