Arrested: Aggravated Assault in the 800 Block of Cooper Street

On Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 4:12 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 800 block of Cooper Street. Officers located two female victims who were transported to the hospital in critical condition.

The suspect was a thin-built transgender female who is approximately 5’1″. The suspect wore a pink jumpsuit, a black belt, a black jacket, and pink boots. The suspect goes by the name Jewell and frequents the area of Jefferson and Claybrook.

On May 6, 2026, Aljon Tyler, 30, was arrested and charged with Attempted Second-Degree Murder (3X) and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony.
