On May 3, 2026, at 10:45 p.m., officers responded to an aggravated assault in the 800 block of Birch Street. Officers were advised that the victim’s arrived home and discovered that their home had been struck by gunfire.

During the investigation, video surveillance footage was located showing a blue Chevrolet Equinox traveling southbound on the street. Four individuals exited the vehicle and fired several rounds at the residence before they ran back to the SUV and fled the area.
