Aggravated Assault: 2515 Covington Pike

On May 9, 2026, at 1:22 a.m., officers responded to an aggravated assault at 2515 Covington Pike at the Smart Gas Station. Video at the store showed an older-model Lexus pull up to the gas pumps when a newer-model gray Honda Accord, which had been following the Lexus, turned onto Covington Pike, traveling northbound. The occupants of the Honda fired shots at the Lexus. The occupants of the Lexus returned fire. Both vehicles fled the scene. The gas station was struck by gunfire.
