Airways Station Crime Driver Arrested by MPD Fugitive Unit

On May 19, 2026, the Memphis Police Department Fugitive Unit located and arrested 28-year-old Maurice Abston in the 2400 block of West Hillview Drive. Abston was taken into custody on active warrants related to an aggravated assault that occurred in Shelby County, a failure to appear warrant out of Collierville, and charges of theft of property $2,500-$10,000 and evading arrest on foot.

Abston has been identified as a prolific offender and crime driver within the Airways Station area and is believed to be responsible for numerous theft-related offenses in the community. He also has several open court cases involving auto theft, boxcar burglary, and criminal impersonation.
