On Friday, September 26, 2025, around 2:25 p.m., officers responded to an aggravated assault in the 300 block of West Mitchell Road. Officers were advised that the victim was approached by a male suspect, who mumbled some words toward him, and then fired multiple shots, striking the victim in the leg. The victim returned fire in self-defense.

Suspect #1 was observed in video recordings brandishing a firearm and firing shots at the victim. After the shooting, the suspect fled on foot and entered a white Subaru Outback, which was driven by Suspect #2.

Suspect #1 was a Black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black-and-white shoes.

Suspect # 2 was an unknown driver.

The suspect vehicle was a white 2010-2014 Subaru Outback with an unknown temporary tag and a missing red reflector on the left rear bumper.
