Arrest: 1700 Block of Hunter Avenue

On July 17, 2026, the Memphis Police Department’s Fugitive Unit apprehended 33-year-old Jamelle Johnson in the area of Spottswood Ave. and Airways Blvd.

On May 8, 2026, at approximately 8:02 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call in the 1700 block of Hunter Ave. Officers made the scene and observed a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Johnson was identified as the suspect and wanted on charges of Attempted First-Degree Murder, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony.
