Arrested: Homicide – 2100 Block of Brookline Road

On September 27, 2026, at 3:36 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 2100 block of Brookline Road. Officers arrived on scene and observed a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound who was pronounced deceased on the scene. Officers detained a male, the victim’s roommate. During the course of the investigation, officers discovered that the victim and the suspect, Darren Cranford, were involved in a verbal altercation prior to the shooting.

Darren Cranford, 60, was arrested and charged with First-Degree Murder.
