On June 11, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., officers responded to a kidnapping in the 3600 block of Neely Road. Officers were advised that baby Amonye, 5-months old, had been taken by her father, without consent of the mother. Officers immediately initiated a search, utilizing foot, vehicles, and drones. A City Watch alert was issued soon after.

At approximately 5:30 a.m., officers located the suspect and baby Amonye in the 3400 block of Southland Drive. The child was found safe, and the male suspect was detained.
